Artists paints what they believe,  Express what they understand . Constable's paintings are reflection of what he had believed. To me his paintings are like video's of his time where everything moves.He was a true inquirer and his Paintings are work of science, he had pursued it  as an Inquiry into the laws of nature.

Today I am going to unfold one of the major aspects of Raja Ravi Varma's painting,who belongs to the 19th century Indian art practice. We often discuss about the influence of western style on his paintings but I would like to highlight the other side of his work. I see a clear connection of Indian classical art in his works.  From his biographer's note we got to know that he had a profound knowledge of Indian mythology and literature.
